Cast Profiles
Lauren Haggenjos
(Eliza Doolittle) – My Fair Lady has been a favorite for Lauren since she was very young, so playing the role of Eliza
Doolittle is the fulfillment of a childhood dream. A senior at Jay County High
School, she has been very active in marching band and theater productions. She
has also been a regular performer with Crying Baby Productions in such shows as HMS
Pinafore, Pirates of Penzance, and Fiddler on the Roof. Her favorite roles include Pepper in Annie, Chava in Fiddler on the Roof, and Mrs. Banks in Barefoot in the Park. Laruen, the daughter of Dr. Mark and Donna Haggenjos, sends special thanks to her mother for doing another
show with her.
Ron Freeman (Professor
Henry Higgins) – Ron has been active in numerous roles with Crying Baby Productions such as Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof, and the Beast in Beauty and the Beast. He has also been seen on this stage as the King in Jay County Civic Theater’s production of The King and I. Ron is pleased to be joined in this performance by
his wife, Loni, and daughter, Amelia. He is very grateful to Loni for her patience
with him during this production, and his Heavenly Father who blessed him with this opportunity. Ron is a rural Portland resident and president of Jay Petroleum/Pak-A-Sak.
Greg Ashley (Colonel
Hugh Pickering) – A veteran performer and director, Greg’s stage credits are almost too numerous to mention. Favorite roles include Grandpa in You Can’t
Take It With You, Ben Franklin in “1776”, and Major General Stanley
in Pirates of Penzance. Some of his
Crying Baby credits include Sir Joseph in HMS Pinafore, George Bailey in Merry Christmas Mr. Bailey, Mordcha in Fiddler on the Roof, and Cogsworth in Beauty
and the Beast. Greg would like to thank God for his talents and the opportunity
to share them. He is an employee of Arts Place and a Portland resident.
Jordan Rodden (Alfred P. Doolittle) – Jordan’s most memorable
role on this stage was his portrayal of John Adams in Crying Baby Productions’ performance of “1776”. Jordan appeared in the same role with the Marion
Civic Theater. As the husband of Crying Baby Productions co-founder, Linda Priest
Rodden, he has been content to stay home and pay the bills during many of her productions.
He lays claim to the title of “Mr. Crying Baby”. Jordan and
his talented family live in rural Bryant, and he serves as a financial advisor with Racster, Jacks, and Associates of Portland.
Jennifer Joy McGraw
(Mrs. Pearce) – Jennifer is also a veteran of the Arts Place stage. As
an active member of the Jay County Civic Theater she has enjoyed roles as Cinderella in Into
the Woods, Alice in You Can’t Take It With You, Shelby in Steel Magnolias, and Dust in Belles.
Her Crying Baby credits include HMS Pinafore, Pirates of Penzance, Beauty and
the Beast, and Fiddler on the Roof. She thanks her husband, Jason, for his
constant support, as well has her mother. “I love you both!”
Donna Haggenjos
(Mrs. Higgins) – Although Donna has been busy learning her own role in this show, she has kept a watchful and proud
eye on her daughter, Lauran, who appears in the lead role of Eliza Doolittle. She
is a busy mother to three great kids, but has still found time to perform with Crying Baby in Fiddler on the Roof and South Pacific.
She has also appeared in the Jay County Civic Theater productions of Here’s
to US, The King and I, and Annie. She
lives in rural Portland with her husband, Dr. Mark, and thanks him for his support.
Tristan Rodden
(Freddy Eynsford-Hill) – Tristan has a long list of credits with Crying Baby including HMS Pinafore, Pirates of Penzance, South Pacific, and “1776”. Memorable roles include Fyedka in Fiddler on
the Roof, and LeFou in Beauty and the Beast.
He is a homeschooled senior, and thanks his mom, the cast, and everyone who made this show possible and fun!
Don Enyart (Zoltan
Kaparthy 9/11-14) – Don’s list of stage and backstage credits are almost too long to list. He has appeared in lead roles and chorus part, directed and served on set crew. When asked to list his favorite roles he included Fagin in Oliver
and Antonio Bennito in Phantom of the Country Opera. His Crying Baby credits include The Odd Couple, Pirates of Penzance,
South Pacific, and “1776”. Don
is chief engineer with the new Holiday Inn Express in Portland, and thanks his friends and family who “have continued
to encourage me to be someone else!”
Seth Rodden (Zoltan
Kaparthy 9/18-21) – A sophomore at Anderson University, Seth is taking time out from school to join us for the second
week of this performance. Seth began performing on stage at age 8, and has quickly
become a veteran performer. His favorite role was as Luntha in The King and I. His list of Crying Baby shows includes HMS Pinafore, Pirates of
Penzance, The Odd Couple, South Pacific, and “1776”. Seth is thrilled to be able to do another show with his family and friends in his hometown.
Jan Rittenhouse
(Mrs. Eynsford-Hill) – Jan is choral director at Jay County High School. Music
has always been a passion for her, and so has musical theater. Favorite roles
include Grace in Annie, Marian the Librarian in The Music Man, and Gertrude McFuzz in Seussical the Musical. She also used her talent at the piano in Crying Baby performances of Fiddler
on the Roof, and Beauty and the Beast.
She loves being in productions with her daughter, Holly (chorus member), and says “thank you” to her husband,
Greg, for living without both of them these past few weeks.
Lucas Rodden (Harry)
– Like his brothers, Lucas got his start in musical theater at a very young age.
He includes HMS Pinafore, Pirates of Penzance, Fiddler on the Roof, Beauty and
the Beast, South Pacific, and You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown on his
list of Crying Baby credits. Lucas is homeschooled and lives with his family
in rural Bryant.
Pete Vogler (Jamie)
– A very busy music teacher and band director in the Jay County school system, Pete still makes time for his interest
in musical theater. He has been a regular in many Crying Baby performances including
“1776”, Beauty and the Beast, South Pacific, and Merry Christmas Mr. Bailey. Pete lists Lazar Wolf in Fiddler on the Roof, and Dick Dead-Eye in Pirates of Penzance as two
of his favorite roles. He wishes
to thank his wife and daughters who have given him the freedom to work on his “bucket list”, and to God who has
given him good health to have a “bucket list”.
Elizabeth Hudson
(Mrs. Hopkins) – Liz is making her second appearance with Crying Baby, having been involved both on stage and backstage
with Fiddler on the Roof. She has
also appeared with Jay County Civic in The King and I, and Annie. Liz is joined by both of her children, Aaron and Mary, in
this production.
